TM course fee

TM is taught by a registered educational charity committed to making TM’s benefits available to as many people as possible. To honour this mission, the TM course fee is income-based and can be paid in four instalments. We use an honour system and trust in your integrity. In addition, with generous donations, we make sponsorships available to the homeless, prisoners, children at risk, and those with financial challenges.

Meet the TM teachers in Central London

The authentic TM technique can only be learned from a certified TM teacher in a course carefully personalised for each individual.

 All certified TM teachers have successfully completed an intensive in-residence TM Teacher Training Course, and they maintain their certification through ongoing professional courses.

Nigel Grace

Nigel is an experienced teacher of Transcendental Meditation and lives in Forest Row, East Sussex with his wife, Jacqui and daughter Daya. He teaches TM at the Central London centre. Nigel will be very happy to meet you to discuss how Transcendental Meditation can easily fit your lifestyle while bringing benefits of deep relaxation, inner peace and happiness.

Pavel Khokhlachev

Pavel has been living in London for the last fifteen years. He learned TM in his native Russia in 1994 and has been teaching it since 1996. He has taught people from various backgrounds including sports professionals, the police force and creative industries. He spent several years working in the Transcendental Meditation organisation, translating educational materials and helping to run international courses.

Magdalena Blackwood

Magdalena has been enjoying TM for more than 20 years and she has been a full-time TM teacher since early 2018. Initially Magdalena experienced the benefits of TM whilst studying with improved focus, clear thinking and memorisation, as well as feeling less anxious in exams. Over time TM gradually transformed her life, which inspired her to become a TM teacher so that she could help and guide others towards becoming a better, and ultimately the best, version of ourselves through the TM technique.

Anna Creese

Anna has been meditating since 1981 and teaching TM for over 20 years. Anna personally found TM of great benefit in terms of physical health and she experienced increased self-awareness. Anna is deeply honoured to have witnessed great benefits in others who have learnt through our TM Centre.

Dora Farkas

Dora has been practising Transcendental Meditation for over a decade now. She started teaching the technique in 2017 motivated by experiencing its profound benefits in her life - especially in the areas of personal growth and creativity. She will be delighted to facilitate your exploration of this transformative practice and guide you toward a more profound connection with yourself.

Imagine trying to learn a musical instrument or sport. You know how valuable it is for a good teacher to show you the proper technique. Similarly, individualised instruction by certified TM teachers ensures a personal and intuitive learning experience, allowing students to learn the technique with ease and precision, and to establish a lasting TM practice. There is no other way to learn the authentic TM technique — and there is no evidence that anything else provides the full range of benefits documented in the published research on TM.

The TM technique allows your mind to naturally transcend, or easily settle inwards, to quieter and quieter levels of thought, until you experience the most silent and peaceful level of your own awareness.

No problem at all. Unlike other forms of meditation, the TM technique involves no concentration, no control of the mind, no contemplation, no monitoring of thoughts. It is completely effortless.

The TM technique's effectiveness is the same whether you believe it will work or are completely sceptical. That's because it automatically and effortlessly allows your active thinking mind to settle down to a state of deep inner calm.

In mindfulness meditation you monitor your thoughts, feelings, breathing, and bodily sensations, without judging them. This keeps your mind engaged on the active level of thinking, as do many other forms of meditation. What we don’t often realise is that, beneath the active surface, the mind already has a deep level of calm, like the settled depth of the ocean beneath the waves. The Transcendental Meditation technique facilitates transcending – effortlessly opening our awareness to this deeper, peaceful level of the mind.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, whose life's work was to revive and demystify the timeless knowledge of meditation, and verify its effectiveness through the lens of modern science, began teaching Transcendental Meditation in the 1950s. After refining and systematising the teaching of TM, Maharishi began a movement to make the technique available worldwide. He oversaw the training of thousands of teachers and established a non-profit foundation to preserve the authenticity of the TM technique for generations to come.
